Donkor Nsuo (The Slave River)  - Last Bath

     From their places of capture many enslaved Africans were then brought to the slave market at Assin Manso. They would walk for days, weeks, sometimes even months, shackled and chained, with stocks around their necks until they reached Assin Manso. Upon their arrival there, captured Africans who had survived the journey would then be sorted out; the children from the adults, the men from the women, the strong from the weak.
